Important Information For Fongo Users
When the Maritimes Area started using Fongo Conference Calling in 2020 to hold meetings, there was only ONE phone number to access the service out of Halifax (902-932-1200 – All the meetings listed using Fongo have this # to access).
Since then, Fongo has added other phone numbers to access the service in Nova Scotia. If you are in any of these other locations, calling Fongo using the local number may mean you will NOT incur long distance charges if you dont have a long distance phone plan.
If calling one of these areas in Nova Scotia is NOT long distance for you, you should use the local FONGO number to access the Fongo meetings. Then dial the meeting pass code followed by the # sign to get in.
Sadly, Fongo has not added any access numbers for New Brunswick or Prince Edward Island. If you are calling a Fongo meeting from these provinces, you may incur long distance charges if you don’t have a long distance calling plan. Many providers of land lines and cell phones have plans that offer Canada Wide calling or Long Distance calling for a nominal fee (check yours).
